What Wedding?

in Life on 06/24/18

There are so many people out there who want to say “what wedding”?

They have to be lying..! who could have missed it, the wedding of all weddings, whether you’re a royalist or republican – this was an amazing event a change of pace for the Royals and Royal weddings!

Not only was Harry marrying a commoner, she is a black American independent young lady, an actress and social media personality!

Wow factors at the wedding

  • Meghan didn’t have a Maid of Honor
  • Meghan walked part way down the aisle on her own
  • Meghan is then escorted by Prince Charles to the waiting Harry
  • Meghan and Harry’s wedding includes a superb but long sermon by American Bishop Michael Curry
  • Meghan and Harry’s wedding included a performance of ‘Stand by Me’ performed by Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir – absolutely beautiful
  • Meghan was accompanied by Flower Girls and Page Boys for the trip to the Church

Wow, that must have been a lot to take in by the Palace but you know, they are moving with the times, they’re becoming more ‘relevant’ and ‘present’!

Who could forget the young royals intervention with the Queen, 007 and the Olympics – absolutely “one out of the bag”!

The ‘young Royals’ I believe will make the monarchy ‘relevant’ again – they bring youth, enthusiasm, realism and truth to the Royals.

They ‘give back’ through their hard work and public attendance and interest in local and national humanitarian causes.

Not only do they work hard to support important causes, they develop and implement their own!

The Invictus Games, The Royal Wedding Fund and the Foundation – all implemented by either William, Kate or Harry, “the young Royals”!

Royal Wedding Charity Fund

Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge “have created a charitable gift fund to help celebrate their wedding. The fund will focus on assisting charities which support the five causes chosen by the couple. These causes are close to their hearts and reflect the experiences, passions and values of their lives so far. Having been touched by the goodwill shown to them since their engagement, they have asked that anyone wishing to send them a wedding gift consider doing so in the form of a donation to the fund.”

I, like many others believe the Royal family will be in ‘good hands’ once Prince William is King of England – this wont happen for sometime! So, more years yet until the Royals become ‘modern’ in all senses of the word!

I have to say my interest in the Royal family only came about on the back of Princess Diana – I was mesmerised and drawn to everything Diana! She was beautiful, vulnerable and so damn caring…she appeared to care and show true and honest sympathy to people from all walks of life!  Diana was an absolute breath of fresh air in the palace and was the sole reason for an increase in their popularity!

Her legacy is her boys and they appear to represent the ‘best’ bits of her, they carry themselves well.

Harry always the ‘party boy’ has re-invented himself and is intent on making sure his pursuits and loves are of importance!

Both Harry and William will impact on our society in the future with their genuine respect to their entitlement and upbringing.

They know how much their ‘Mummy’ was loved by millions worldwide and their work will let us all smile and relive memories of her.

I suspect she would have been so damn proud!
